Slow and rainy start

Hey Hey! Today is just gross here in Washington...rainy and cold...and I'm wiping away some cobwebs from last nights Monday night football game at FedEx. But I'm up and at em..here at the studio.

Today I am working on painting cabinets from a cherry brown to a white...very boring but pays the bills!

they will transformed into something like this once the day is over!

New pulls and knobs will be added too! before and after pictures to come!

Who's ready for Thanksgiving??? THIS Lady IS!

Good Morning Monday!

Hey Notebook Readers! Hope all is well this Monday morning. Boy and I had a great weekend-part work part relaxing. It was filled with clients, lunch at the studio, drinks with friends, more work at the studio, and to top it off a nice family dinner.

But for this morning I have been prepping for some serious crafting sessions for new items at the studio...check out this one which has been floating in my head for the past couple weeks.

Painted nail heart shape

Create a shape with nails and then paint the heads

So easy so simple and by painting the piece of wood one color and the nail heads another will be a huge impact.

Just another day at the studio...then off to the Redskins game tonight! Happy Monday people. Short week! Holla!

Hey Notebook Readers!

Happy Thursday...one day till a bit of freedom for most of us! Now as a small business owner there will be weekend hours but I plan on using that time to let the creative juices flow and create new fun products for our store!

But for today I wanted to share this easy DIY I did in the studio to give height to our drafting tables. Adding casters not only allows us to move them easily but allows them to be slightly higher then countertop height.

First I matched the bit size with the screw at the end of the caster

I then drilled a hole into the bottom of the drafting table leg

I used a wrench to tighten the wheel into the table leg...which took a minute and some elbow grease

Check it out! Don't they look great? Just love the extra detail!!!

Get ready for the weekend people! Maybe you will be tackling a DIY like this one!

Heading to the barn y'all!

This project has been super fun and sooo random! One of the contractors that we have been working with at the studio came to me to paint this amazing barn door for a kitchen in Bethesda. I was very excited to help! Can't wait to get the pictures of it in its new space! Here are the before and afters!

The finish is a high gloss in Benjamin Moore Old Navy...just love it! Happy the guys are coming today to pick it up because that thing ways a ton.

If you are looking for a cool door like this and are local head to Community Forklift not only will you be giving back but also beautifying your home!!!

Happy Thursday People!

Count down to studio opening 9 days...hence my absence yesterday!
