Fun with A Gun

The fun continues on day 3 of the week working over at O'Neill Studios. The chairs are coming along after being  primed I headed back into the spray booth to use the gun to give them a fresh coat of 1557 Benjamin Moore

The frame of the day is this amazing distressed pine frame painted a fun yellow...which leads me to the foto of the day of boy and I this past weekend in Lewes on a cocktail cruise on my father's seacraft. So much fun! 

I'm In Love!

Yesterday I learned how to operate a HVLP spray gun and I'm in love! Life changing...like a smart phone to me...Karen from O'Neill Studios showed me how to put it together, the different techniques and most importantly how to clean it.

DIY ALERT

I recently picked up a job rehabing a dozen chairs for a resturant downtown, Hank's Oyster Bar! They are a mixture of styles to give a unique look to the resturant. It is an exciting project and you can check out all the progress at O'Neill Studios. Here are some pics of the chairs and the process I have endured tearing fabric, removing trim, and pulling out staples!

Love the back of this chair...look for some more pics of the finished product! We will be sanding down/ deglossing, priming, and painting them all!

I just found this art piece on Etsy and I love the look of it...what a great DIY project! 

Materials Needed:

Any size piece of wood you want to use

Painters tape

Orange and white paint

wood stain

glaze(mod podge)

1. Cut wood to size

2. Paint wood white

3. Tape design

4. Paint orange

5. Use dark wood stain around edges and trim

6. Use Mod Podge to seal the paint and stain

Yes, Please! I love this picture frame! SO fun and could be an easy DIY project! I have to put this in my rolodex for an upcoming project. The foto of the day I also love it is of my bestie Emily and I in downtown Washington after a rehearsal dinner. Last wedding of the season!
