Frame + Foto of the Day

8x10 Picture Frame with Vintage Yellow with Vintage Black Double Cove Build Up

This Etsy frame is a simple and sleek with yellow matting. And here is my best friend Kerry and I at her bridal shower having fun! 73 days til the big day!

DIY ALERT

I have posted about silhouette before and their impact on a space. The last time I focused on creating them and placing them in frames but this time I thought a fun DIY project would be to add them to a throw pillow. The silhouette can be of your child, your hubby, your pet...remember have fun and this DIY will be a lasting memory in your home!

And if you do not have the time to DIY it up check out Simply Silhouette!

Aunt Bucky

Brooklyn Limestone's DIY iron-on silhouette

Homemade by Jill's painted silhouette.

DIY STEPS:

1. Create your silhouette template

Take a profile picture of your desired model and print (mine is a 5x7).
Outline the profile with a black sharpie. I flipped my paper over and traced the sharpie outline from the other side to give me a nice, clean, black and white image.

2. Cut out silhouette with exacto knife

3. Stencil your silhouette

4. Using a stencil or foam brush, paint a thin coat over your stencil.

Simple and easy way to create a one of kind piece for your living space!

I love molding. And if done right it can add a ton of character to every room! The molding here on the staircase is a great visual to draw your eyes upward! Molding can be a DIY project, which will save you a lot of money, but make sure that you go online and read up prior...cutting the angles can be difficult.

Happy Molding! Love love love it!!!

Trina Turks Residential

My best friend, Claire, was searching for new bathing suits and stumbled upon Trina Turk's Residential line. Love the graphic bold prints!

Drama Added up!

These images of painted stripe ceilings are stylin...love the effect it gives the overall room! The two nursery's are cute and give the babino's a good visual stim! The bedroom shot creates a headboard with the paint and draws it all the way up to the ceiling...this inexpensive DIY project only requires some paint, tape, and a lot of elbow grease...happy DIYing!

And I am going to add some black ribbon to my shower curtain as seen below

It is a quick DIY solution from HGTV to spruce up any shower curtain! Here are the simple steps below:

Measure and pin the corners on the shower curtain

Trim the ribbon so they can meet at the corners

Cut the ribbon

Glue the ribbon with fabric glue

Look out for my before and after pictures this week!

Love me some DB

So over the weekend I was settled in on my couch and watched a good deal of HGTV's David Bromstad. He has an amazing show, Color Splash, which inspires me to use more pops of color in my design.  I love his use of wall treatments, whether its wall paper, big pop art, or a wall decal...my fav room has got to be the room with the orange rug! Not only is David Bromstad talented and inspiring he is hot too...thanks for making this monday a little easier!
