DIY ALERT

I have posted about silhouette before and their impact on a space. The last time I focused on creating them and placing them in frames but this time I thought a fun DIY project would be to add them to a throw pillow. The silhouette can be of your child, your hubby, your pet...remember have fun and this DIY will be a lasting memory in your home!

And if you do not have the time to DIY it up check out Simply Silhouette!

Aunt Bucky

Brooklyn Limestone's DIY iron-on silhouette

Homemade by Jill's painted silhouette.

DIY STEPS:

1. Create your silhouette template

Take a profile picture of your desired model and print (mine is a 5x7).
Outline the profile with a black sharpie. I flipped my paper over and traced the sharpie outline from the other side to give me a nice, clean, black and white image.

2. Cut out silhouette with exacto knife

3. Stencil your silhouette

4. Using a stencil or foam brush, paint a thin coat over your stencil.

Simple and easy way to create a one of kind piece for your living space!
