embroidery hoops new use



This Old House magazine just featured a DIY project for using embroidery hoops and spools to create a room divider. This idea sprung forward many other uses you can do with embroidery hoops! Above are a couple of good ones for sure! I love the mobile! Here are simple step by step instructions to create a focal point in any space!

Start by purchasing what size embroidery hoop you like

Step 1-

Place the inner cirle your embroidery hoop on your fabric to determine the how much fabric to cut.  I left at least 1" fabric outside the hoop. Cut your fabric (I just cut mine into a square).

 

 

Step 2-

Flip both the fabric and the hoop over so that the inner hoop is on the bottom and your fabric is right side up on top of the hoop.  Now slide the outer hoop over your fabric.  

 

 

Step 3-

Flip your stretched fabric over.  It is now time to trim!

 

Have fun and creative! Find inexpensive fabric or go big since this project does not require much fabric to make your space beautiful!

DO Interiors = LOVE!



Danielle Oakley Interiors created an amazing space for her little girl! By adding black chalkboard paint in strips to her walls it not only invites creativity to the space but gave the room that extra punch it needed. Danielle made this headboard...a great DIY project to spruce up any room! She also painted the plates over the bed! She stenciled on the animals then a quick touch with the brush and her daughters room pops! Love the color combo of black, blue and pink!

This Etsy shop, Kyoozi, has some good finds at the right price! Most retail home decor stores will charge you for just the sham, but Kyoozi offers the pillow and sham together at the reasonable price of $35 for a single and sells sets for as low as $69! I see A LOT of must haves!

Just got a draft for my new calling cards from Prixelimpress. I have asked to see it in a different font, H,  like the one below and print it in a darker navy. Love me some fun calling cards! And these are nontraditional too by only being 2" by 2".
