I saw this light fixture down at market and just had to share because it is made of two things everyone can get their hands on: water bottles & a string of lights.

All they did was shove the lights down into the water bottle! What a fun recycled lighting fixture!

I'm back!

Wow what a world wind it was down at Atlanta! There was a ton of ground to cover between three floors filled with home decor, gifts, and so much more!

Here are some of the goodies I laid eyes on!

love this metal rattan chair! Great for outdoor seating!

This wire basket I think will be a perfect display piece! But could also be used at a beach/lake house for all your towels or a great bin for toys!

I love this great silver serving bowl with a pop of orange!

Love these frames...I mean I could fill a whole wall with them because I am just so into the colors and textures they show off!

Weekend Wrap Up!

Hey Hey Notebook Readers!

Been a crazy 4th holiday so I'm happy to be back in DC and back to the grind...well not really we all know the beach is WAY better but we can pretend. 

Here are a couple shoots from the 4th with friends and family celebrating birthdays the 4th and then family time togetherness!

Belly Up to the bar...cart!

I recently saw a bar cart rehab that was killer on an HGTV show. I think that a bar cart is not always the best solution for booz storage just because they can take up a good amount of space, but if you have it go for it! And I'm thinking of finding a funky old one and rehabbing it with some high gloss black paint with gold accents...so pretty!

Happy 4th People!

I wanted to wish all of you a very happy fourth of July! I am celebrating with my sisters down at the beach! Poor Boy has work tomorrow and couldn't make the trek but thats ok sister time is always a great time! Party on people! Have a rootin tootin Fourth!

Slip Cover!

Hey Notebook readers! Hope everyone is having a nice start to their week! I had a client last night in Georgetown that needs some slip covers made for her dining room chairs. Check out this dining table too...so great!

remember when buying slipcovers online that measuring your current chair is important. This client made the mistake of ordering this silhouette slipcover that matches her chairs but is just too big. I am making custom slipcovers because these chairs have a unique shape.

Weekend Wrapup...DE, Old Bay, and Beer!

Well this weekend was a success!!! Not only did Boy not have to go into work Sunday...we had the chance to make it down to the beach for my future brother-in-laws birthday celebration filled with a lot of cold beer, blue crabs, old bay, and love! oh and a supposed great late night!

here is Boy and Patrick getting their pick on...not featured is the sweet corn we grilled out. As Boy says knee high by the 4th of July and the stalks were taller then both of us so tastey corn will be heading our way again soon!

just a great night of fun and relaxing! hope we get a chance for many more of these nights this summer! 

now back to MD to get my McNamara Design painting skills on!
