Friday Finds...I Hate to Alarm You!

Hey Hey Notebook readers! We made it! Happy Friday!

Today I'm sharing one of my girlfriends amazing blogs, I Hate to Alarm You! Be sure to check out her latest project, Urban Portrait Project, AS IS. It is a series of portraits Nicole Bourgea painted of 10 strangers throughout DC without them knowing she was painting them. She then paced them throughout Dc and so far 9 out of the 10 people have found their portraits!

Gallery in Your Home!

Morning Notebook Readers!

Creating unique and eye catching gallery walls in your home can be troublesome so most of my clients call me in to create them!

Whether using paper clips to hang your artwork

Picture of photos hung from binder clips

or classic frame walls

using a contemporary gallery system is probally your best bet to make a huge impact with your artwork!

this contempo system allows for adjustable heights and
allows for multiple pieces to be hung vertically

love how this system create simple and clean lines for your artwork or displays

This is a must have in our home! As they say come Hang with best!

so it made me think I want green cabinets...and who else has them?

welll check out what I found...

whether it be your cabinets or tile...green gives a twist to the traditional kitchen!

Upcycled Treasures!

One of my girlfriends asked my to help her paint some key items for her living room. She just moved into a great apartment in Bethesda and had an array of furniture that needed to be unified...so what easier way to do that but with paint!

Check out the before and afters!

I see coffee tables like this all the time while thrifting...they go for nothing because they are quite over sized and older looking because if its finish. But with some primer and a fresh coat of semi-gloss white the details of the legs pop and make it a classic piece for any space!

This entertainment center had already been painted white but was not in the best shape. My client gave me full rein of this project so I decided to bring in a grey color that would play off the rug and couch colors!

Check out this amazing side table that she found! She stumbled upon a carpenter walking through a building downtown where he had his work shop and caught a deal because he was going out of business.

I was originally going to paint it red to go with the eclectic sense the piece gives off...but once I painted her white she was too classic! And I fell in love! The best part of this piece is that the top is a tray which can be removed as a server.

Hope everyone has a great day! It is gross and rainy here but we will get through! Have a great Tuesday people!

Ottoman Upcycle!

So excited for this next project!

One of my clients reached out about upcycling this ottoman she purchased years ago at Home Goods. It has great bones and will now be moved from her living room to her son's play room as a coffee table/sitting area.
