Spruce it Up!

Some of you may have seen my thrift store find of the pair of brass table lamp bases that I got for $14! I had purchased new shades for them both and they reside in my bedroom. I am happy to say they have recieved a little attention this week by adding navy blue trim to the bottom of the shades with my glue gun and it is looking great!

Bathroom's Getting some new gear!

I always search Etsy when I'm bored to find cool new items to use for my own home or others and I recently found these prints which are going to be placed in their new home my bathroom. I have butterfly prints that I actually found at the dollar store in there now and I'm excite to add these four posters framed...spelling out LIFE.



I love the black frames, which I am happy to say I have a bunch of so no need to go and purchase! And the prints themshelves are $10 and if you buy 3 you get one free! So $30 will go a long way to change up this space!

I found this pillow on the cheap looking for pillows for my bedroom makeover...Love  a good deal! $13.95 ya can't beat it!



X Bench

I have been looking for two X benches to replace my coffee table in my living room or possibly place at the foot of my bed once the rehab is complete. I found this X Bench over at Ballard Design but for $275.00 and up I had to do a little research for a more affordable version. And I found it! For $95.00...all I will need to do is upholster the seat and spray the legs!

Bedroom Makeover!

I have been slowly preparing for a bedroom makeover! I am excited about the colors: grey, yellow, white, and navy. Game plan: Paint the walls grey, ceiling navy, recover headboard with a yellow burlap, add new linens, replace area rug, rehab curtains, add the amazing hutch(after rehabing it!) Here are a couple items that I purchased and can't wait to put it all together! Progress pics to come!

Always remember that you can layer in old with the new! I already have a grey duvet from last years West Elm sheet set collection and I have king navy and white stripe shams from PB teens that are going to work great with the design. And my navy curatins will get trimmed out with grey and yellow 2" grograin ribbon.
