Weekend Wrap Up!

So I had a big weekend...it was my sisters bachelorette party down in Lewes, DE. We had a group of 20 women, a trip to Dewey, rides on motorcycles, and a lot more craziness throughout he weekend...check it out!

Hunt for the right Hutch Color!

Hey People! Happy Wednesday...half way through the week! Today I have a busy day at the studio meeting an event planner for our grand opening in November, staining and spraying an IKEA dresser(so excited to share pics), and starting the search for the perfect paint color for this hutch!

I am meeting with my client as well to see her dining room to get a better idea of her decor which will help in the final decision! Can't wait to see what we decide on!!

As awesome as this hutch looks...as it has been painted black with a detailed red inside....the client wants it to go with her new home decor. So what better way to do so and save money but to repaint it! Reduce, reuse, and recycle!

Weekend Wrap Up...St. Michael's Style!

Over the weekend I had the chance to celebrate one of dear friends Lacy! Her bestie and sister threw an amazing bachelorette party for her in St. Michael's, MD...a place warm to my heart because Boy and I went here for our mini-moon after our big wedding. I love the atmosphere of this place, so relaxing and calm. So we rented a house, had a low country boil, went out on the town, and had late night dance parties!

Friday Finds...Salvaged!!!

Last weekend my Mom was reading the Cape Gazette, this small paper for the beach towns in DE. She came across an article describing a new shop in Lewes, DE called Salvaged...we headed out on Saturday to check it out and loved what we saw!

Love their store front! So cute and themes throughout their logo right down to their gift bags!

Salvaged focuses on furniture rehab, just like me! You can pick a piece from her inventory and customize your finish or you can purchase right off her showroom floor!! She also has great accessories and little fun gifts for the home, your girlfriends, or even yourself!!!

Her furniture finishes are shabby chic meets vintage...using Annie Sloan paints!

LOVE their use of wood pallets to create an accent wall in her space!!!

Walking on water...or Alpine Elm!

Things are moving along with our design studio reno...we have all the walls down which opened up the space so much! 

here is a little sneak peak 

So we are now purchasing some of the finishing items in preparation to have them shipped in time for installation. 

One purchase made yesterday was the flooring for our kitchen and bathroom...It is called Alpine Elm, a vinyl planking floor...it's just going to be a nice durable finish. Clean and crisp off the dove cream walls!

 

here is an image of alpine elm used in a large space...I'm excited to see it downplayed a bit in our kitchenette and bathroom

Re UP holstered

Hey people! So nice to say its already Wednesday! What a great feeling...just like it was to complete this wing back chair upholstery job. I get such gratification seeing pieces transform like this one has!!!

What a little bit of fabric and a whole lot of imagination can do! The client was so happy that she has now hired me for another job! So always think before throwing away an item in your home...you never know how it can be transformed!

Weekend Wrap Up!

Hey Notebook Readers! Hope everyone had an amazing Labor day weekend! Boy and I made it down to Lewes, DE with the whole family! It was so nice to relax. We didn't go out to eat or have drinks just a great "at home weekend"

demo cleared out of the studio...check! More pictures to come of the studio...it has been a lot of work but we can't wait to really get the space cleaned and ready for clients to come in! 

Weekend Wrap Up!

Hey Notebook Readers! Hope everyone had a great weekend! I was lucky enough to make it down to our beach house in Lewes, DE. We had my Aunt, Uncle, and cousins down which was so fun to catch up! Check out the pics!

Boat ride Saturday up the canal through he nature reserve with my Aunt and cousin, who was obvious cold! Love the look! 

Check out the bathroom..my mom used covers from a free magazine to wallpaper the walls! So creative!
