White to Blue Diamond!

So happy to share the latest project, which was recently installed in Regan Billingsley's  teenage boy's theme bedroom at the 2013 DC Design House!

we loved this West Elm console desk because it was a perfect fit for the space and provided a great blank slate to create this diamond pattern



 

 

I took contact paper and measured out the top, sides, and legs of the piece

 

 

I created 3" triangles that I adhered to all the sides

 

 

after I applied the contact paper I sprayed the piece with a navy paint color

 

 

 

leaving the bottom of the legs white because we wanted to spray them with a dark charcoal black 3/4 the way up
