Overdye to die for?

Hey Hey! Hope everyone if getting through their week! I have been busy busy busy but happy it is already Wednesday!

 

 

I have been super excited about the latest craze of carpet dying. We used one in the DC Design House and people either love it or hate it as we came to know over the weekend listening to all the critics. Personally I think it gives a nice twist on the traditional rug...check it out!

Sign, Sealed, Delivered!

Good morning on this cold Tuesday from DC! The only thing warming me up right now is the thought of Boy and I having our wedding invitations circulating snail mail this morning! My wonderful future mother-in-law went to the post office yesterday and hand stamped each envelope to ensure their beautifulness and delivery! So excited!!!

I wrapped each invite and RSVP with some gold ribbon to not only tie it all together but to give it a bit of pop when retrieving them out of the envelope

 

 

 

I lined each envelope myself using a raspberry cardstock...I pulled in the "love" stamp again, which I used on our save the dates as well!

I'd like to say Happy Earth Day to everyone!

 

 

Love this day because it not only reminds us to be more consious but it emulates the idea of recycling & rehabbing which is something I am passionate about. Taking something old and giving it new life will benefit our children and our children's children!

One of my clients wants to find a houndstooth carpet...I love the bold look and she found her inspiration from this photograph

love this color combination!

It wasn't a hard find but this bargain cannot be beat! Overstock had a 5 x 8 for $71 and a 8 x 11 for $150! What a why to make a bold statement by layering in a black and ivory houndstooth!

Think IKEA!

I saw this IKEA expedit hack and fell in love!

 

 

So many of us are in need of storage whether because we are in small apartment living spaces or just bought our first home that may be on the smaller size...this picture and many like these continue to inspire me to think outside of the box!



You are looking at three expedit IKEA shelving unit stacked, some open concept and some with storage drawers.

 

 

Each expedit unit goes for $70...so to get this custom build in look you are looking under $250! Remember there is always a solution to a problem whether spacial or financial!

I'm so excited to share these ladies store! It's called O'verlays! I'm sure many of you have heard of it but if not definitely check out their products. Talk about IKEA hacking...these ladies are queens at that!

 

 

 

 

 

They provide overlays for all your IKEA furniture! Not only does it spruce it up but can give an old gross piece new life. So if you don't feel like getting dirty and painting you old stuff think about adding a layer of trim to it!
