Black Lacquer

Black Lacquer by Benjamin Moore

I love all three of these paint colors. I have used the first two in my apartment. The grey looks great in a living room and the orange I painted in my work space. The last color by Benjamin Moore, Black Lacquer, is used above by painting a bathroom door, but it is not to dark being surrounded by the playfulness of the blue!

I'm dreaming of a workspace...

Martha Knows Best

These three Christmas cards are all handmade, Martha style. The first is an accordion style card that would take no time to make up. the next two are more tedious but well worth the $ you will save by making your own! Merry Merry!

Frame + Foto of the Day!

5x7 distressed pine picture frame . dark walnut finish .

The frame of the day is a distressed pine frame from DA Custom Frames and will add great character for the foto of the day. This is Luna B my best friend Raegan's dog. The most sweetest loyal dog I know! See you New Years Eve Luna B!

Faux Fur Throw

Found this Faux Fur at Calypso St. Bart's and love the light color and adds tons of texture to your couch, bed, or wing back chair!

Warm it up

Saw this fireplace image in Lonny Mag and loved the geometric shape of the fire screen. After searching for an affordable one this is what I found...$99 bucks from JC Penny will give you the designer look for 1/3 of the cost!

Seaweed Lamp

So I saw these in Sweet Paul Mag and looked the look of them. They are made by Sarah Foote out of veneer strips, dots, and free flowing lines, which Sarah calls these lamps spaghetti, seaweed, and hydrangea. They are simple but give off a complexity to them that will add texture to any space. Love them!

The frame of the day is a Kate Spade Frame...I love the black n white picture in it already...so I thought I'd go with one too! The foto of the day is of me and another one of my best girlfriends, Kerry. She is getting married in May and I couldn't be happier for her and her fiance Matt! Their wedding is 5 months to the day... Cheers!

Make a Gallery in your Home!

Apartment Therapy DC posted an How-To create your own gallery in your home! These are some of my favorite examples. The plethora of frames surrounding the staircase has got to be my #1 pick! By keep the frame and matting all white the space feels less overwhelming...check how I created a gallery in my own apartment at McNamara Design!

Fun fabric!

So I found this great DIY headboard on Danielle Oakley's Blog and loved the fabric that she used for her daughters room! I had to share the link to the online fabric dealer...great deals! Danielle found this fabric fro $12/yard.
